Vengeance Rising are a legendary thrash/death metal band from Southern California, USA. After releasing four albums in the late 80's and early 90's. Anthology was a very cool compilation released by Intense Records in 1993 just one year after the release of the fourth and final Vengeance Rising album Released Upon The Earth. In fact it would be the final Vengeance Rising release through Intense Records.Fast forward to the 2010's and beyond and in would jump Roxx Records to begin releasing many killer, remastered, and updated reissues of all those classic albums... except this one!Earlier this year in 2025 we secured the rights for two more Vengeance Rising reissues and we started to work on a killer edition of the Anthology title. Only weeks after we got started on this project we would learn of the untimely passing of Roger Martinez, and that immediately had us pause on the release. After debating back and forth we decided we should continue with this one, but with a twist. We quickly decided that we needed to make this one a tribute to Roger Martinez. Anthology is being reissued and remastered for the first time ever, with a few improvements! Remastering has been done by Rob Colwell (Coroner, King's X, Nevermore, Helstar) and includes a reordering of the tracks from the original pressing all in chronological order. In addition this pressing includes a beautiful new layout and design by Scott Waters (NoLifeTilMetal Graphics) commemorating Roger Martinez.This Limited edition vinyl pressing will be limited to 200 pieces on 140g Opaque Blood Red colored vinyl with a beautiful 4 panel insert. The CD version will be a jewel case edition with a 16 page booklet. Both packages will include full lyrics and many new write ups exclusive to these pressings. Write ups from Pastor Bob Beeman and many more friends and band members. The CD version will also include an exclusive track never before released on CD interview track originally released as a part of the Hot Metal Summer II cassette only compilation.
