Stabbing Westward - Wither Rewired [CD]

Stabbing Westward completely re-record their 1996 original, Wither Blister Burn & Peel, in a deluxe Digipak with booklet and bonus track. Thirty years after the release of their landmark 1996 album Wither Blister Burn & Peel, Stabbing Westward return to the record that helped define their place in industrial and alternative rock. Wither ReWired is not a remaster. It is a completely new recording of the original album, rebuilt with the intensity, precision, and experience the band has gained across three decades. The result remains faithful to the emotional weight, melodic hooks, and mechanical drive of Wither Blister Burn & Peel while bringing the material forward with heavier, sharper, and more detailed modern production. Produced by Christopher Hall and Walter Flakus and mastered by three-time Grammy winner Tom Baker, Wither ReWired features newly recorded versions of the original album's defining songs, including 'Shame' and 'What Do I Have to Do?' The release also includes the new single 'Crushing Me.' The CD edition is presented in a deluxe Digipak with a clear tray and slit pocket containing a 12-page booklet. The package includes expanded artwork, complete credits, and the exclusive bonus track 'Akegata (Dawn),' available only on CD. Wither ReWired is both a celebration of the original Wither Blister Burn & Peel and a statement of where Stabbing Westward stand today: urgent, powerful, emotionally charged, and unmistakably themselves. It is an essential release for longtime fans, collectors, and listeners drawn to industrial rock, alternative rock, electronic rock, dark alternative, and the heavier side of 1990s music.
