Product Description
Previously unreleased rock musical by Judge Smith (co-founder of Van der Graaf Generator) and Maxwell Hutchinson, first performed in 1976. Inspired by the extraordinary English youth movement of the same name, The Kibbo Kift blends history, ritual, satire and 1970s rock songwriting into a dramatic and highly original song cycle. This first-ever CD release brings together 24 tracks from studio sessions, home-recorded tapes, and a live performance directed by Mel Smith (Not The Nine O'Clock News). Restored and remastered by Prof. Stoned with full involvement from both creators, it's a fascinating and newly unearthed chapter in Britain's underground musical story. Digipak with 16-page booklet and liner notes by Judge Smith.
