The Lawrence Marable Quartet Tenorman Blue Note Tone Poet Edition (LP) A West Coast jazz date that blows with hard bop gusto, Tenorman by the Lawrence Marable Quartet featuring James Clay was a hard-swinging session led by the esteemed drummer (Marable) that served as an introduction of the young Texan tenor (Clay) with support from pianist Sonny Clark and bassist Jimmy Bond. This mono Blue Note Tone Poet Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe tip-on jacket.
