Pre-Order: Crossed Out - 1990-1993 [CD]

West Coast Power Violence Pioneers coveted complete discography back in print for the first time this millennium. 47 tracks total.

Back in 1990, in the unassuming beach community of Encinitas, California, a band emerged that would define the emerging West Coast Power Violence movement: CROSSED OUT. Surrounded by a quagmire of overbearing military bases, clueless surf culture, suburban decay, and a local music scene that was embracing the pathetic whimper of pop punk, CROSSED OUT turned the tables & unleashed a wall of sound built on violent contradiction: Schizophrenic stops and starts, hyperspeed bursts juxtaposed by crushing, thick as molasses sludge riffs. Unexpected, uncompromising, unstoppable.

CROSSED OUT left a gargantuan footprint on extreme music despite producing one of the underground’s most painfully sparse discographies: One full 7" EP, one split 7", one split 5", and a handful of compilation appearances. For decades, these caveman classics became coveted trophies for extreme music collectors, rare artifacts from a band whose influence far exceeded its recorded output. Now after decades out of print, Tankcrimes has made the impossible possible: The complete CROSSED OUT discography is back to trample converts & non-believers alike. This treasure trove collects all officially released output plus a generous dose of unreleased studio gems and live material. A musical wall of death, unearthed once again & primed to bulldoze on impact. This is more than just your run of the mill reissue. This is a definitive document of a foundational force in the birth of first wave Power Violence.
