The 37th album by The Council Of Thirteen continues the progressive and classic rock sounds of the Council. 16 new songs written by keyboardist/composer John W. Edwards. This is a foray into the pub-rock and new wave sounds of the 80s most successful "intelligent rock" bands. The Squeeze-influence "You Keep Pulling The Beat Out Of My Heart" leads off followed by the Blondie-flavored "Comedy Or Tragedy". "Suddenly Out Of Time" feels like a pure Go-Gos song. "Angelique" is a Graham Parker-inspired love song. "Was I Too Sweet For You" channels the Bangles, while "A Taste Of You" could be another Carlene Carter/Dave Edmunds duet. "Evens and Odds" and "Einstein, Edison and Tesla" are straight out of the XTC playbook. The title track feels like a long lost Cars song.
