Masabumi Kikuchi was a Japanese jazz artist of legendary stature with a vast discography that ran the gamut from straight-up post-pop and vanguard classical to fusion recordings, solo synthesizer dates and even digital dub. Hanamichi is his final studio album before his passing in 2015. Recorded in New York City's Klavierhaus, on one their finest Steinways. A dialogue between his free playing and song forms, Kikuchi is at the pinnacle of his craft.
