Product Description

Tito Larriva presents a musical autobiography with PUNK LUCK thru 5 decades, spanning five decades of creative work. Featuring more than 25 rare songs, previously unreleased recordings, and newly reworked versions, the collection offers a deep and personal journey through Larriva's remarkable career. Spread across four thematic album sides, The Plugz, Movie Scores, Canciones, and Tarantula, the compilation charts Larriva's artistic evolution in a musical-biographical anthology. From co-founding the influential early Los Angeles punk band The Plugz, through Cruzados and numerous film soundtrack projects (Repo Man, Desperado, She's So Lovely, Somebody to Love), to his long-running band Tito & Tarantula, the collection captures the breadth and diversity of his work. Newly mastered and restored, the recordings move seamlessly between punk, Chicano/x rock, Latino/x music, and film compositions. Along the way, they reflect a career shaped by fellow artists, collaborators, and admirers including David Byrne, Bob Dylan, Wim Wenders, Robert Rodriguez, and Quentin Tarantino. There was a thread running through everything... and in the end, it became a kind of musical biography, says Larriva. This is a career-spanning portrait of one of the most restless, influential, and enduring figures in American punk and Chicano/x rock: Tito Larriva.
