Brandon - Inventory Lead

As Sold Out's newly appointed Listing Lead, Brandon is the person responsible for making sure a steady stream of used vinyl finds its way online every week. Between researching records, building listings, managing inventory, and helping customers on the sales floor, he plays a major role in connecting records from our bins to collectors around the country.
If you've spent any time around the shop, you've probably seen Brandon bouncing between the counter, inventory projects, training, and now the ever-growing stack of records waiting to be listed. He wears a lot of hats at Sold Out, but his passion for music is at the center of all of them.
Brandon's musical journey started with Boyz II Men and TLC before moving into R&B and hip-hop through artists like Wu-Tang Clan, Masta P, Juvenile, and Lil Jon. By the early 2000s he had fallen deep into underground hip-hop, while punk rock entered his life through Blink-182, a band he's loved since 1996. By 1999 he was exploring heavier sounds like Poison the Well, setting the stage for the incredibly wide-ranging taste he has today.
Over the years, he's become more open to every genre imaginable. Whether it's jazz, hardcore, hip-hop, indie rock, or post-hardcore, Brandon is always looking for great music regardless of where it comes from.
His all-time favorites include Blink-182, Deftones, Touché Amoré, Black Country, New Road, Wu-Tang Clan, Aesop Rock, Donald Glover, Lee Morgan, Spanish Love Songs, Comeback Kid, and Time X Heist. Lately he's been listening to a lot of Black Country, New Road, Time X Heist, and Eyes of Salt.
One thing becomes obvious after talking with Brandon for a few minutes: music isn't background noise to him. It's something he genuinely cares about and loves discussing. Whether you're looking for a hardcore recommendation, a jazz deep cut, or an essential hip-hop record, he'll probably have an opinion worth hearing.
