Top ten most requested titles for Record Store Day 2025 at Sold Out Vinyl Records
Record Store Day 2025 is just around the corner, and we've curated a list of the top 10 most requested releases at our shop for April 12. These selections include some of the most anticipated vinyl pressings from renowned artists. Be sure to arrive early to secure your favorites!
#1 Taylor Swift – 'Fortnight' (7" White Vinyl)
Taylor Swift's chart-topping single 'Fortnight' featuring Post Malone is available as a limited edition 7" white vinyl. This exclusive release also includes the 'Fortnight (Blond-Ish Remix)' on vinyl for the first time. We have a large allocation of this title and expect to make a lot of Swifties happy! But the Taylor army is sure to be out in full force so definitely make sure to arrive early.
#2 'Wicked' Original Broadway Cast Recording (Limited Edition Green Vinyl)
Celebrate the magic of the beloved musical 'Wicked' with this limited edition green vinyl release of the original Broadway cast recording, featuring favorites like 'Defying Gravity' and 'Popular.' Highly allocated, very rare release, best be one of the first in line if you want to score this release. Won't make it to the online sale.
#3 Oasis – 'Time Flies…1994-2009' (4xLP Colored Vinyl Box Set)
Celebrating the band's iconic singles, this remastered collection spans 15 years of Oasis hits. The deluxe, numbered box set includes four colored LPs and features all 26 singles from 'Supersonic' to 'Falling Down.' Probably will be the second hardest release to cop next to Wicked (even though we have less of the Oasis). If you plan on rocking out to this one before their epic reunion tour an eary wake up will be necessary. Don't plan on this dropping online Sunday AM, if so make sure the site you're ordering from isn't a scam.
#4 Fleetwood Mac – Self-Titled Album (Picture Disc)
In honor of its 50th anniversary, Fleetwood Mac's 1975 self-titled album is released as a picture disc for the first time. Featuring classics like 'Rhiannon' and 'Landslide,' this limited edition is a must-have for fans. A cult classic that will sell year round, if only we could keep enough of these in stock to do so. We ordered big and got only a few on this title, doubt it will make it to the online sale.
#5 Wu-Tang Clan & Mathematics – 'Black Samson, The Bastard Swordsman: Wu-Tang, The Saga Continues Collection' (2xLP)
This exclusive compilation features new tracks from Wu-Tang Clan members and collaborators, showcasing the group's enduring legacy. The 180g vinyl set is limited to 5,000 copies and includes unique cover art for each album. At only 5k copies and 1k participating stores this Wu-Tang will surely be in high demand. We secured a good amount of these and will for sure be spinning this on RSD. If you don't see it out in the bins, ask us to sell you our store copy!
#6 Gracie Abrams – 'Live From Radio City Music Hall' (2xLP)
Capturing Gracie Abrams' captivating live performance, this double LP features 22 tracks from her albums 'Good Riddance' and 'The Secret of Us.' Highlights include 'I Love You, I'm Sorry' and 'I Miss You, I'm Sorry.' We got about half of our requested amount for Gracie, but fear not we requested a lot! If you're in line at a decent time you should get this no problem. No promises if you show up afternoon.
#7 Charli XCX – 'Number 1 Angel' (Apple-Colored Vinyl)
For the first time as an individual release, Charli XCX's acclaimed mixtape 'Number 1 Angel' is pressed on apple-colored vinyl. The collection includes ten tracks recorded with A.G. Cook and features production from SOPHIE and others. This is another title we only received about half our requested allotment, again we requested a large amount. I'd imagine you could secure a copy if you make it in line before we open.
#8 Rage Against the Machine - Live on Tour 1993
An unearthed live recording from the band’s early days. Raw and explosive—this is Rage before the world caught on. Top requested at the shop and top ordered at the shop, this one has already hit our turntable and you won't be disappointed in the sound quality. You'll hear this several times RSD weekend spinning on our system. You'll likely see this one online as well. We went big on the Rage in 2024 and 2025 was no different. We want to make sure everyone who wants one of these gets one. Shop copy NFS!
Loud, fast, and full of attitude. This live album captures the Ramones in their natural punk habitat. Another title with lots ordered, lots received and expected to make it to our online sale. We're big Ramones fans at the shop and apparently so are our customers as we've had a lot of requests for this title.
#10 Post Malone – 'Post Malone Tribute to Nirvana' (Yellow Vinyl)
Post Malone's acclaimed 2020 livestream performance honoring Nirvana is now available on limited edition yellow vinyl. This 14-track album features covers of classics like "Come As You Are" and "Heart-Shaped Box." As the 2025 Record Store Day ambassador we felt it only appropriate to reciprocate by ordering a grip of these Nirvana tribute albums. We received about half of our large request and anticipate we'll be able to get these in the hands of everyone that wants one bad enough to make it by open. You never know what demand will be but we have a bunch!
