Cedric Myton, Watty Burnett, and Roy Johnson struck out on their own to produce Image of Africa and Congo Ashanti, both released in 1979. Each album is remembered for a distinct studio sound, more mainstream than Scratch's hazy experiments and in line with the late 70s golden era.
